Memento Mori, which comes from Latin for “remember that you will die,” is less of a doom-laden prophecy than an incentive to live each day to the fullest, as if it were your last.
Reflecting on the inevitable end of life, the NUDE Memento Mori collection puts a modern spin on the medieval mantra. Designed by Istanbul-based designer Ali Bakova, this small skull-shaped ornament is cut from clear, lead-free crystal with facets that explode with luminosity. The precise harmony of this piece culminates in a sculptural aesthetic - at once functional and artistic.
