ABOUT THE PRODUCT
A dome from Milan that stays when the holidays are over. For this limited Christmas edition, Kartell has paired its La Coupole with the Milanese pasticceria Marchesi 1824: under the finely ribbed dome – green with a matching green base – sits a classic 500 g panettone. Once the last slice is gone, La Coupole keeps its place on the table, covering cakes, pastries or cheese.
What is in the edition?
Kartell's La Coupole dome in Green with base and gold-metallised knob, designed by Fabio Novembre, plus a Panettone Classico by Marchesi 1824 (500 g).
How does La Coupole look on the table?
Vertical ribs catch the light like cut glass – yet the dome is made of PMMA, lighter and sturdier than glass. At around 30.5 cm high and 24 cm in diameter, it holds a whole panettone or a cake.
What makes the Marchesi panettone special?
Marchesi has been baking in Milan since 1824. The classic panettone rises slowly with its own natural sourdough (lievito madre) and is made with raisins, candied orange, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, Italian honey and free-range egg yolk.
