Juicy, tart-sweet and sparkling, with red fruit, a green bite and a cool, almost metallic shimmer.
- The gemstone garnet is most likely named after the pomegranate – because of its deep red seeds. In Latin the fruit is called “pomum granatum”, the “apple with many seeds”.
Pomegranate yields no usable essential oil, so perfumers rebuild the note as an accord: with green molecules such as hexanal, fruity esters and linalool for lift.
