Questions and answers
Dark, roasted and bittersweet, with a creamy cocoa depth.
- Cocoa contains around 600 volatile aroma compounds – just 25 of them are enough for a true chocolate scent, and none of them smells of chocolate on its own.
In perfume, chocolate is created as an accord: cocoa absolute provides the roasted, bitter base, vanillin and ethyl maltol the sweetness, lactones the creaminess.
