The Groke from Moominvalley is one of Tove Jansson's most mysterious characters: a dark grey, bell-shaped figure with glowing yellow eyes and striking teeth, hands held in front. As an officially licensed glass ornament, she is a special piece for Moomin fans and collectors.
Each piece is made in the Inge Glas workshop in Neustadt bei Coburg, Germany, following the traditional Lauscha glassblowing craft: mouth-blown, silvered inside with sterling silver and then painted by hand. This gives the colours their special depth and unmistakable shine. Inge Glas Christmas ornaments are treasured by families for generations – for collecting, decorating and gifting.
