The St Nicholas Bell combines two Christmas symbols in one shape: St Nicholas in a glossy red coat with golden glitter trim holds a little green fir tree in his arms – and his figure is modelled on a bell. His frosted, hand-painted face with flowing beard heralds 6 December and rings in the anticipation.
Each piece is made in the Inge Glas workshop in Neustadt bei Coburg, Germany, following the traditional Lauscha glassblowing craft: mouth-blown, silvered inside with sterling silver and then painted by hand. This gives the colours their special depth and unmistakable shine. Inge Glas Christmas ornaments are treasured by families for generations – for collecting, decorating and gifting.
