What is rose quartz?

Rose quartz is a pink quartz with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, whose soft colour comes from microscopically small inclusions. The Greeks and Romans already associated it with Eros and Aphrodite – the stone of love, then, worn close to your heart.
