Lladró Statue, Persian Cat

The Persian cat, with its long silky fur and large expressive eyes, is the aristocracy of domesticated cats. Thanks to the sculptural work and engraving that faithfully recreates the cat's fur, this creation perfectly conveys the elegance of these cats. The piece is made of glazed white porcelain and is decorated with soft tones of dissolved paint. This decorative technique, when applied to surfaces with so much relief, enhances the play of light and shadow and increases the feeling of volume, in this case of the cat's fur. A touch of color in this composition, in addition to the blue of the cat's eyes, is found in the toy she plays with - a cute little bird made of matte porcelain with gold gloss accents.
