What is rose quartz?

Rose quartz is a soft pink quartz whose colour comes from microscopically fine inclusions in the crystal. In Greek and Roman mythology it was associated with love – with Eros and Aphrodite. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, it is robust enough for every day.
