The brand: from student project to international perfume house
What began in 2012 as a small project during the founders' student days is now a perfume house with an international presence. CEO Muatasim Al Hinai and co-founder Muadh Al Sinawi set out to combine Oman's rich culture and heritage with modern influences. The name says it all: “Oman” plus “Luxury”. According to the brand, the fragrances are composed in Muscat.

Curiosities about OmanLuxury
Things you probably didn't know
- A dagger on the national flag
The khanjar isn't just the name of a fragrance: set over two crossed swords, it forms Oman's national emblem and has appeared on the national flag since 1970. Omani men still wear it on formal occasions.
- Frankincense is world heritage
The “Land of Frankincense” in the Dhofar region has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Frankincense trees (Boswellia sacra) still grow in Wadi Dawkah and are still tapped for resin – once one of the most valuable luxury goods of the ancient world.
- A bottle in traditional dress
According to OmanLuxury, the cap references the patterns of the kumma, the traditional Omani cap, and the neck the curves of Omani silver jewellery.
- An opera house as muse
The Royal Opera House Muscat, the inspiration for Angham, opened on 12 October 2011 with Puccini's “Turandot” – and was the first opera house with interactive screens in the seatbacks.
- Roses distilled over a wood fire
According to the brand, roses from Jabal Akhdar are hand-picked every spring and distilled the traditional way over a wood fire.
