The brand is named after Antoine Soradora, who was born on July 16, 1902, in the small town of Loulé in southern Portugal. Even as a child, Antoine was captivated by the natural aromas surrounding him – from wild lavender fields to fresh grass and blooming flowers. This early, sensual connection to scent left a lasting imprint on his life.
At the age of 18, Antoine decided to follow his passion and left his homeland. He moved to the south of France, settling in the village of Gréasque, where he transformed a simple piece of land into a flourishing garden of aromatic plants, flowers, and memories. In Grasse, the undisputed heart of French perfumery, he met jasmine grower Étienne. Their shared love of botany led to the creation of their first fragrances. After Étienne's passing, Antoine continued the project and passed his passion down to his family – laying the foundation for the house we know today as Sora Dora.
