Questions and answers
Soft and woolly-warm like a cashmere sweater on the skin, woody and musky, with a spicy, slightly resinous undertone.
- Cashmere wood grows on no tree: the note is usually built on the aroma chemical Cashmeran, developed in a US laboratory and named after the feel of cashmere wool.
Cashmeran (C₁₄H₂₂O) is an indanone derivative and melts at only around 27 °C – below skin temperature.
