Iggywoo: Pistachios, Ponies and a Perfumer with Imagination

Iggywoo, according to the brand, simply means “imagination”. And that is exactly how the scents smell: of pistachios dancing with a lily, of a cashmere pony on a Caribbean beach, of vanilla from a land that exists on no map. Behind it all stands a single man, the perfumer Richard Saint-Ford. We introduce the brand, tell you how its scents are created and show you which of the six we carry suits you.

In short
  • Founder: Richard Saint-Ford, a self-taught British perfumer who is also creative director. According to the brand, Iggywoo was founded in Los Angeles.
  • The name stands for “imagination”, according to Iggywoo.
  • Method: first the name, then moodboards and music, then the scent. The brand rejects remakes of famous perfumes.
  • At our shop: six eaux de parfum in 60 ml plus a discovery set with all six in 2 ml.
  • For autumn: Lost in Vanillatopia, Pistachio Voodoo Child, Cherry Love Extreme and Fantasma Overglow.

Who is behind Iggywoo?

A man in a hoodie, with tattooed forearms and a workbench full of bottles. Richard Saint-Ford is founder, perfumer and creative director of Iggywoo in one person. He taught himself to compose. According to the brand, Iggywoo was founded in Los Angeles, while the fragrance databases Fragrantica and Parfumo list it as British. Both fit the picture of a perfumer moving between two worlds.

Founder, perfumer, creative director

Richard Saint-Ford

Self-taught British perfumer. According to industry profiles, he previously worked as a creative director in fashion and beauty. He grew up, as he tells it himself, with his grandmother, a baker who made scents from native plants.

All six Iggywoo scents we carry bear his signature as perfumer.

How is an Iggywoo scent created?

Backwards, in a way. In an interview with Hunger Magazine, Saint-Ford explains that for him the name comes first, then moodboards and music, and only then the scent. He describes his work as cinematic: every scent is a scene. Iggywoo itself writes that it does not reinterpret existing scents but experiments until something new emerges, through trial, error and happy accidents.

That explains the names, which sound more like song titles than perfumes. And it explains a particularly charming anecdote: the “Voodoo Dancer” lily in Pistachio Voodoo Child was, by his own account, distilled by Saint-Ford himself in his studio.

Why does the Iggywoo bottle look like that?

Because it is meant to be the first thing you recognise the brand by. The white, stepped cap towers over the glass like a little hat or a sculpture. In the interview, Saint-Ford calls it the brand’s first visual signal. Below sits a simple, clear label. On the shelves of our boutique the bottles catch the eye immediately, and that is exactly the point.

Which Iggywoo scents do we carry?

All six are eaux de parfum in 60 ml. What the concentration means is explained in our article Eau de toilette, eau de parfum or extrait. The notes come from the brand.

Prices live from our shop, as of 23 Oct 2026. All of the brand’s scents are in the Iggywoo collection.

Lost in Vanillatopia: vanilla from an invented land

The brand’s newest scent, from 2026 according to Fragrantica. Damask rose and grapefruit on top, a fantasy accord of sun, amber and musk with honeysuckle at the heart, and vanilla, amber and tonka at the base. Creamy and golden, yet never sticky thanks to rose and grapefruit. If you love vanilla, you’ll find more candidates in our article Gourmand perfume: 7 scents good enough to eat.

Pistachio Voodoo Child: the nut that dances

From 2025. Pistachio on top, jasmine and the self-distilled “Voodoo Dancer” lily at the heart, plus a pistachio accord, sandalwood and vanilla milk at the base. Nutty, creamy and surprisingly floral. Our tip for anyone who likes gourmands but doesn’t want to wear pure candyfloss.

Cherry Love Extreme: cherry with bite

From 2024, described by the brand as “Cherry, Rewritten”. Pink pepper and cherry, then violet, rose and clove, finally vanilla bean, amber, sandalwood and patchouli. The clove and the patchouli make the difference: this cherry is not childish but dark and spicy, made for November evenings.

Fantasma Overglow: champagne, frankincense and oud

Also from 2024. A champagne accord and blood orange open brightly, ambergris, frankincense and cedar sit at the heart, and amber, blonde driftwood and Indian oud form the base. According to the brand’s ingredient list there is even a touch of “Mezcal Ice”. Iggywoo says the name stands for the euphoria of intimacy. The most striking scent of the range.

Cashmere Show Pony: a beach day as a gourmand

Released in 2024. Vanilla milk musk on top, toasted coconut, passionflower and plumeria at the heart, Cashmeran wood at the base. Cashmeran is a scent molecule with a soft, musky woodiness; more on it in our article Iso E Super, Ambroxan, Hedione. Saint-Ford says the idea was a blonde pony on a Caribbean beach. You can almost smell it.

Bohemian Water: the coast of Malibu

The freshest of the six, released in 2024 and, according to the brand, inspired by the Malibu coastline. Bergamot, caviar lime and salt on top, neroli, passionflower, sea fennel and goldenrod at the heart, blue cypress and cedar below. A scent for the days when you are not ready to let go of summer. Get to know neroli better in Neroli or orange blossom?.
